Is that good to teach Mathematics and science in English?

Government has announced that mathematics and science in primary school has to teach in English. After this announcement, there have many different responses from different race. Some are agree with it and some still try to reverse it to original way to teach mathematics and science. Within these 7 years after the announcement, there still have argument between government and public. So, is that good to teach mathematics and science in English at the primary level?

If teach mathematics and science in English can help pupils to cope the syllabus in the secondary school because secondary school also use English to teach mathematics and science. Some student has face difficulties when they reached to secondary level because of the language they have familiar with to a language which is they are not used to use it.
Besides that, reference book of these subjects in English in more easy to obtain in market because of this reference book are import from Europe country and just without translation. Student also can get more information through internet because most of the articles in internet are write in English.

On the other hand, there are also has some drawback for this project. The main problem now is the teachers are not well equipped especially in Chinese school. Teacher in Chinese school has been asked to teach the mathematics and science in double language. Some of the teacher has taught these subjects in Chinese for many year and they are not use to teach in English. Some of these teachers have lack of the communication skill in English. So how they can teach mathematics and science in English properly? Furthermore, when student are not understand in English, teacher have to use the language which is the student familiar with to explain to them. End up, teacher still have to teach these subjects in their mother tongue.

In my opinion, teach mathematics and science in English was a good idea but it is not suitable to do it when there do not have the well equipped teacher. Government should train more teachers so that this project can implement with least drawback.
